前几天在情人节买的一些花，就剩了几支含苞的白色毛茛，插入瓶后就随手摆在窗边。没想到因为放的靠近暖气片，所以花朵们一一提早绽放。虽然含苞时大家一个样，但现在每朵花都开出自己的美丽：有的是青白色的花头、有的奶白、有的花瓣带一抹紫边、还有一朵像是被不小心切伤的手指晕染过的血红色。
Only a few budding Ranunculus survived our Valentines event. Looking lonely and unspectacular, we stuck them in a vase beside the window. To our surprise, leaving them next to our recycled heater has helped them to bloom ahead of time. While buds had the same look, now each flower gets to show her unique beauty: there are ones with greenish white centres, ones that are completely milky white, ones with purple fringes, and one that looks as if it’s been tinted with blood fresh from a pricked finger.
